At Locharbriggs Primary, we accept that we will have gifted children and slower learners, some children who are polite and socially competent and those who find it more difficult to mix and communicate. We accept each child as they are at the present time and seek to help them to develop potential as a person, so becoming balanced, happy and socially competent, with a caring, responsible attitude to their peers and to the environment in which they live.
As teachers, we value all our children and we strive to provide for each of them, offering positive encouragement for all their achievements. We look for the good things that each child has to offer, and seek to help each overcome their limitations. We appreciate that each child is unique- in looks, in the ability to produce a particular piece of work, to act or speak exactly as they do. As teachers, we have the privilege and the responsibility of contributing to the development of each child as a unique human being, and we accept fully the responsibility.
At the same time, we regard parents as partners in the child’s education and hope to work alongside them for the good of their children.
Whether you are or were a pupil at the school, a friend of the school, or are simply seeking information about the school, we hope you find our website interesting, and informative. If there is anything you would like to see on the website, please feel free to contact us. Thankyou
